The wall help to improve your flexibility in your legs. You place your bum against the wall with your legs in the air and then spread them apart as far as you can. Then keep spreading them even more each 2 minutes or so. Do this for about 5-10 minutes at a time. It is very painful but the results are really good.

Reflections...
What I need to improve on...
- My Grand battements (!!). I will be improving these by making my arms less sloppy (making sure I am awaare of what they are doing and keeping them strong), keeping my leg straight and my balance centered instead of leaning. And improving my flexibility( mainly in my leg which means THE WALL (I will do a post about the wall next time).
- Making sure I am aware of what my arms are doing in each movements and keeping them strong.
- Making my arms more relaxed.
- Improving core strength to help my balance.
- Increase my flexibilty (more stretching).
- Keeping my shoulders relaxed.
Doing an excersise en croix....
When doing an excersise such as lifting or pointing the foot you usally do the movement to the front then to the side then to the back then side again. This is known as en croix (in a cross shape).
Ports de bras...
In ports de bras ("carriage of the arms"), the arms do not pass the line of the neck and shoulders. The neck stays relaxed and the arms move smoothly and freely, without disturbing the shoulders.
